This was his post on the Yahoo surfacehippy discussion group:
10 Year Anniversary
2/23/2012
Just finished having my x-rays checked by McMinn (his Centre, actually, Chandra did the review and he was part of the team that did my surgery). I had the original operation on august 1, 2001. this makes me one of the longest-lived surface hippies. What was the result?
Excellent!
Implant is right where it should be, chromium levels are normal (and
that's with me taking a supplement). I've been training as hard as ever
with powerlifting, martial arts even did a couple months of sprint
training for the heck of it.
Thanks to everyone on the list (old guard) who helped me in my early
days. Not sure how many of you there are.
Cheers,
Jeff G

Mr. McMinn
Wow that's great to hear! It fills me with more confidence when I hear stories like this! Thanks pat.
That is awesome to hear Jeff! I'm just into my first week post surgery, so I'll look forward to your 20 year post while I'm posting my 10 year results.
Jake there's a chap on the yahoo group called Des Tuck and he had both his hips done by my surgeon and I believe there both over 10 years with zero sign of any issues. This just goes to show what can be achieved with a top surgeon and a proven device! I'm hoping in 10 years time I'll be able to do a little write up about my new hip and all the turture I plan on putting it through!
Always great to hear from hippies so far down the road. What a great result!
Thanks for posting Pat.
