Title: Bob's 6 year anniversary

Note by Patricia Walter: Bob asked me to post this for him

With all the news lately about the metal on metal being bad, etc I though I would check in again.

I am now 6 years, 2 months post op. Still the best decision I ever made and pain free unless I overdo the soft tissue. I have Biomet Magnum 60mm acetabular component and the Biomet Recap 54mm cemented femoral component. I just had the metal ion test done last month and everthing came out normal. I continue to be able to do anything the rest of my body is willing and able. Since the surgery I have snow skied, water skied, played tennis and racquetball and done a fair amount of hiking. My daily life is as though nothing is different between the two hips, including great mobility. I hope this helps someone along the way.

Great to hear, thanks Pat. It's good to have real hippies checking in to reinforce the positives of HR.
