Title: Icing Machine...cheapo patient...
Post by: jb46 on April 15, 2012, 08:53:53 PM
Everything I've read says the icing machine is the way to go, yes?
Question is...since everyone stops using them at what, 3, 4 maybe 6 months post op?, what do they do with them?
I'm in Atlanta and figured I'd buy one, used, ahead of time. Good idea, or is that gross? Don't know anything about them so not sure...please advise...9 days from surgery and totally excited/freaked out...jb

I bought one on Ebay, washed the pad and it has been great.

You could ask your doctor to prescribe one for you, sometimes it works depending on your health plan.

My doc prescribed one for me, but not covered.  I used a rental with the Game Ready icing machine , it really helped my recovery.  Good luck to you
Tried to post a link, just google it and you will find it.
