Title: 10 weeks post-surgery...when does the pain subside?
Post by: krpedm on July 12, 2012, 06:49:04 PM
I'm now 10 weeks post-surgery.  Still have pain, especially after sitting for an hour or two.  I get up and have to limp a bit until the hip warms up.  I have followed pt instructions religously; am doing aqua therapy and exercise bike.  I feel like something in my hip "slips," similar to a joint slipping out of place.  And my knee (on hip re-surfacing side) has pain...similar to over a year ago when I tore my meniscus.

I need some advice or reassurance!  Thanks!

10 weeks is nothing. I'm one of those hippies who had significant quad pain for close to 16 weeks. And I still get that "slipping" or "clicking" feeling. I wrote about this extensively in another post about "clunking". Just search my profile to read it. But it's likely your sacrotuberous ligament slipping over your ischial tuberosity. Not dangerous, but annoying.
