In some talks and looking pretty good that this is going to come together for 2013.
Has been a vision of mine for a while, just didn't think that it would be with a BHR.

Might be a little soon to say, but I'm putting it out there to make it happen...

David,
Good luck with that!!!! That's intense! I have a friend ( Rob Morlock) who has competed I think five times and completed 3. He has competed in IM's with us years ago and went over to strictly endurance cycling in the mid nineties. It is a special mind/ body that can endure such a grueling sport! That said, after seeing/ reading of your incredible IM world champion results and being so consistent, this seems to be a good fit! Definitely keep on posting your progress and if you need any questions answered I could always put you in touch with Rob, he is very kind and gracious.
Joe
Thanks Rob, and I will take you up on that offer to speak with your friend. This would not be a solo, but a team of 4 event with 3 other athletes that are "disabled" as they say in some way either arm or leg amputees from war injuries. I believe in this so much and will yearn for this to come to reality.
Thanks again...
David
Sorry, I mean Joe...just looked at your Id :)
David,
Just sent you an email.
Be in touch soon,
Joe
Oh wow. That sounds immense. Good luck with it all David. I expect to see photos next year!! ;D
That's extremely cool David. Will be watching for updates.
Unbelievable! Keep the posts coming if this happens.
This thread reminded me of a very interesting NYT article from a few years ago about Jure Robic, a former RAAM winner. Article describes the event, but then explores physiological and, even more, the mental aspects of extreme endurance.

Good luck, David. I'm sure you'll have a tremendous experience participating in that event.
