Every one talks about him like he a god...geez just a guy that got back slow poking at that...
Whatever... :)
''just a guy that got back slow poking at that''
That's just it, he did what we all want to do; he got back. CF was never one of the Ironman greats but he was one of the unique characters of Kona and he still is. As one of the HR pioneers he went through all this ahead of us. He showed us that we could get back too.
:o ??? ::) ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D 8)
sorry...just a little jealous at all of the attention...I'll go back in my hole and do what I do..
Love...
D.
Hilarious.
Hilarity is your best friend :) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'(
Dave, the way you're going, pretty soon they'll all be talking about you like that!
Well I think I might be the first to qualify for a world championship "legit" with a BHR.
Cory got in with the "Hawaii" resident standards.
Anyway, I'll put it out there, my goal is to be the first to win a World Championship pre and post BHR.
Just want people to know that they can do anything and there are options other than a life in pain.
Best...

Go for it David! We will all be cheering you! Make sure I get some photos or videos to post in the athletes section.
;D Pat
THAT would be awesome. 8) 8) 8) 8)
Awesome David good luck mate!!
Go Dave, Go Dave, Go Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dave, how did the hip feel in the days after the 70.3? How about the other side?
Jim it was very sore for a day or two after last Sunday's race. But after two days and some movement all felt good. I did the local Tobay sprint race this past Sunday and got 3rd in my age group with a 7:20 pace run on that extremely hilly course. After that race I felt ZERO pain or soreness. Very encouraging. Keep going... :)
''7:20 pace run on that extremely hilly course''
Good job Dave. You're not kidding about the hilly run. It's not the uphill that worries me it the downhill. I 'm going to try to be there next year. I'll be at Huntington at the end of September to see how it goes. Next year I hope to have some good results starting with American Zoffingan.
Keep up the good work, you're kicking it hard!
That's amazing even without a BHR. Keep up the good work.

You are an inspiration! I guess I will put it out there as well: My goal is to be the first to qualify for the National Senior Games in the 100 meter dash both pre and post BHR. Not quite as good as actually winning the whole enchilada, but hopefully it can break some new ground if anyone thought there were certain limits to HR - like running fast.
