Title: 1.5 and 1 year, I forgot also
Post by: Tin Soldier on August 31, 2012, 04:10:43 PM
I didn't really forget.  My wife and I had a real wedding anniversary in Seattle this year for my 1 year checkup with Dr. P. Last year I went under the knife a day and a half after we "celebrated" our anniversary.   I was a little pre-occupied when we were trying enjoy ourselves.  This year we ate excellent Chinese food from an excellent hole in the wall and just messed around downtown with no real plans.  Probably one of the best anniversaries ever.

The doc says it all looks good.  My images looked good too.  The conversation was more geared towards the recent FDA "summit" on MoM and other interesting details of the HR world.  Next checkup will be in 4 years.  He said once you get past 4 years the risk of metallosis drops to basically nil (even though the risk is already super low).  I recall reading that somewhere.  He finished our meeting with, "they (the new hips) are yours to use and enjoy", basically implying no restrictions.

Hippy Anniversay!

Hey I didn't realize you're a Washingtonian. I went to high school near Spokane and lived in the area until 1987. Still love Washington State!

PS: Glad to hear the resurfacing is working out for you.

Happy anniversaries, Tin, both wedding and hip.

what a wonderful thing for you both. New hip = new life. No wonder it was one of the best wedding anniversaries ever.

Congrats back at you.  I was surprise at how much progress my hip made from 1 year to 2.  Glad to hear you are doing well.

Thanks all.  Again out having fun and enjoying life so I tend to lose track of the forum here and there.

Tim - Oregonian, but half my family is from Washington, so I have a sponsor when I cross the border.

Congratulations to you Tin Soldier!. You have been a guiding light for me, and a lot of other Newbies, so it is only appropriate that you keep posting as you break away and get your life rolling at speed again. We all need examples like your for inspiration and courage.

Many thanks and best wishes as you push the boundaries. Life is so very good now!

That's great news.  Congratulations. You are at that 'no restrictions' place where the recently operated all aspire to be.
