Well today is my first anniversary! It's hard to believe that 52 weeks ago I was waking up in hospital after a major op! It has been a very long tough road thus far but in the last few months I've been really making leaps and bounds! Long may it continue!
Once again thanks to Pat as without this site I would not now be where I am!
Danny
congratulations danny
very pleased that you can see big improvements
cheers marcus
Thanks marcus ;D how are you doing?
Congratulations on 1 year Danny!
Better days are ahead!
Happy anniversary, Dan!
I'll be coming right behind you on the 15th. I see Dr Marwin Monday.
Danny, so pleased to see you progressing and happy. You've had a tough road of it, but it's great that it's turning out well.
Congrats, and I assume all restrictions are off.
Good for you, congratulations! Lyn
Congratulations on your one year anniversary Danny. I am delighted to hear that things are now progressing so well for you. You surely deserve it.
Thanks everyone! I celebrated yesterday by doing slightly too much in the gym(I'm progressively increasing my workouts) so I'm sore today ::) but I'll ice and get back to the gym! :)
Danny
Congrats Danny

Stay under the care of Mr T mate and I'm sure that you'll get your life back. He's a miracle worker!
Hope you had a good birthday Danny :)
Yes thanks Anna! Did some gym stuff and did a job on the evening.

Glad things are falling into place for you, Danny. Please keep posting as you are inspiration to the rest of us that - sooner or later - are gonna have to tread that same rocky road you're going down...

Awesome Danny - congrats on your progress to date. It's been tough road, but you're fighting a good fight.
Best part is you can officially 'give it heaps' now.
Keep us posted.
Cheers

Ha that's the plan kiwi! Got my check up with Mr T's team on Wednesday hoping they will tell me I'm clear to start letting loose!
Congrats Danny. You're an inspiration to all of us and a constant source of information.
Hope Mr T tells you to let it rip!
Thanks buddy I'm pretty sure he'll cut the leash as @6months he looked at my xrays and said that my bone had healed to the stage he normally sees at 12 months. My only drama is my soft tissues still got scar tissue and some imbalances etc got a touch of bursitis again as I over did it over the weekend doing some judo uchi commi on the 6' bag ::)
You rock, congratulations!
Thanks this whole site is an inspiration to me! ;D
So how's the hip holding up at work, Danny? I know that was a major goal for you before you had it done.
Day to day stuff its ok. I still couldn't sprint yet. But I'm able to walk a good distance and can look after myself still so there's still room to improve but I'm getting better! :)
Awesome, congrats Danny. I can't believe it's been a year.
I just sprinted a bunch last night in indoor soccer. I'm pretty amazed at how well the hip is doing. There are certainly times when I over do it, but nothing lasts more than a night's rest. I recall a discussion we had on sprinting awhile back. I thought I'd never run as fast as I used to after HR, but I think I'm pretty much back to where I was before. You can do it, if you work on it.
Good job.
I couldn't sprint at your time very well, either. It took a few more months for me, everyone is different.
I remember your first time working and how bummed you were about the limitations. Sounds like that's passing and you're almost fully back in the saddle again ;D.
I'd say I'm still not 100% but I think I can get that back now. I remember feeling that I was soooooooo far frombeing normal at one point that I'd never get there again. I'm still not there yet but with the work im putting in I'm getting better. I still over do i and pay for it sometimes but hay whats new!? ;D
The curse of type A, Danny..... :o
I am a little competitive I must confess! ::)
I recall you saying something about never thinking you'd ever get to this point, maybe at the 6 week mark or maybe 2 month mark. Queue Jedi voice - "You've come a long way, young Danny, sprint you will, .....in due time,...once again, sprint you will"
Love it tin! ;D yes you are right! I even said it more than once!!!
Happy Anniversary Man!! It only gets better.
Such good news Danny, a whole year and continuing to improve! Keep plugging away, sometimes it is good to look back and see just how far you have come xx congratulations, may it serve you well for years to come
Thanks Sal! I'm looking forward to the next year! I'll start pushing the hip a little more come the new year! ;D
Awesome! Congrats.
