He explains why the recent Lancet Article and a large amount of media is incorrect or does not represent the full story.

This is a must read for perspective patients. Dr. Gross clearly explains the importance of using the top, experienced hip resurfacing surgeons. It often means travel, but it means a successful outcome of a patient's hip resurfacing surgery.
When I told people I was driving 4 hours (and right past Duke and UNC hospitals!) for this surgery they thought I was crazy. But I think getting the most experience surgeon you can find (with good survivorship data) is the most critical thing you can do for this procedure.
