What an incredible article that is-just amazing if that happens.
It's like something from a Sci-fi film-the next generation that need hip replacements will be very fortunate people!
I think there is a Dr. Lars Peterson (Sweden -- surprise, right, with a name like that!) who has been leading the charge in novel cartilage-regeneration research. My guess is that it is still a long ways off...

It may all be a while off but the future is looking good for hippies ... even for us Mike. Research just seems to be moving so fast. Perhaps when we need revisions they could pop one of these baby's in and we can have our hips back?! You never know.
It is just amazing though what they can do. Can you even imagine life before hip replacements?!! I don't even want to think about it!
Very interesting, Anna! The great thing is that you could do a device now and get the benefit of this in twenty years.
I spoke to people involved in this kind of research in the begining and they said they are still way off from main stream usage of this but it's in the future that's for sure;)
Well if we don't benefit from it Danny then I guess future generations will :)
