Post by: wayne on March 23, 2013, 05:14:58 PM
Hi All
Was just wondering if any of you have been scuba diving after your resurfacing, i do quite a lot in the summer months in the uk and was wondering if anyone has encountered any problems after there surgery, i was due to have my surgery on 26 march 13 but has just been cancelled. has anyone had problems carrying the weight of the equipment as it is very heavy.
  all comments welcome
Regards
Wayne

I went about a year post-op, and had no problems. I seemed to handle the equipment fine, but I elected to take off the BC, weights, etc in the water and hand them up rather than climb the ladder with them...more because I wasn't certain about my stability. Rear entry was fine, and after 3 tanks in the Carribean my hip actually felt better as things got nice and stretched.
