Title: Dr. Su Video Discussion Hip Resurfacing
Post by: Pat Walter on May 03, 2013, 10:04:25 AM
Dr. Su posted his 6 part video discussion about Hip Resurfacing at the 11th Annual Hippy Gathering in San Jose, CA on March 9, 2013 on Youtube with the public embed code to allow websites to use the videos.

The presentation and meeting was dedicated to Vicky Marlow, Hip Resurfacing Patient Advocate, who started the group and organized the Gatherings.

Watched this last night, excellent video I think I'm more towards having the resurfacing done than the replacement that they want me to have
Thanks

Hi All,
I'm just starting to come back on the site after a long hiatus.  I had my first done by Dr. Su  - left resurface BHR and I am now getting ready for my second - right resurface BHR.   This recent video he released is such perfect timing.  Out of all the Dr.'s I've been too, he is the one I feel most comfortable with - compassionate, thoughtful, and very calming.  He puts you at ease.

I have been catching up with all the past and recent posts and was very upset to hear about Vicky Marlow.  I would listen to everything she said and explained about hip resurfacing especially how it relates to women.  I leaned on her for support.  I cried as I read the posts on this site documenting her last final days.  I didn't know her but just knowing her strength and life force was available was a tremendous comfort.

I would like to say how important this site has been to me as it has to many of you.  I don't post much but I surely listen to every word you all say so thank you!

Be in touch soon!
Keepmovin!

It's good to see you're doing well with the left, Debbie. I had the same reaction about the video, if I wasn't completely done, Dr. Su would have been a top choice.

I can tell you that after the two were done, I felt a real mental relaxation, since I felt that I was complete and clear of the OA.  There's no guarantees, of course, but things have thankfully gone the way I hoped, and both hips are now strong and pain free.

Yesterday (at two and a half years), I did my usual Tuesday workout of stationary bike, weights (including leg presses and leg curls), and a full yoga workout. Life is good.
