Title: Hello all...
Post by: David on August 02, 2013, 09:07:53 PM
Not quite 2 years post-op but approaching.
I've finally turned the corner in a big way.
Been real good the last couple of months with training and racing.
Back to better performances than a few years pre-op.
Training for the Las Vegas IM World Championship Triathlon on 9/8 which has been my focus.
Did my first track workout out today in probably 5+ years and was able to to do 1:18-1:23 400's pretty easily without puking.
Signed up for Lake Placid IM 2014.
I am so thankful for this new hip of mine!
Lifting, strengthening, cross training has been the key.
Keep, keep, keep at it...
D.

David, that's great! Love to hear your progress, and although I kept away from the track unless forced (threw shotput, discus), I know the times. Excellent and congrats on the hard work.

I know many hippies here have benefited from your posts, including me.

That is awesome! Good luck on the IM! I have one of those in the bank and have pretty much stayed with 70.3's & Olympic distances. Doing a 5K, Sprint & 70.3 the weekend of Sept. 8th. I am 9mos post op! Nothing like getting back into it! Keep up the good work and enjoy the pain free, other than training, lifestyle!
