Title: Questions to ask my consultant. Any feedback grateful!
Post by: phill_will on November 16, 2013, 01:09:28 PM
Hi All,

First off, this is the first time I've started a conversation; been reading a lot of previous posts that have helped me during my recovery (this has been a really helpful website).. but now, 3 months post-op I've an appointment with my consultant this coming Monday and I'm conscious I need to get the most out of our chat, and I've not found anything specific to this topic.
So basically what I'm looking for really is any feedback re questions to ask my consultant, anything you've found useful/wish you'd asked when you went for your check up etc. etc.
My physio seems happy with my progress - I'm only 29 so relatively young for this operation, but on the plus side I think I'm healing quite quickly.

Many thanks in advance!

Phill

Hi Phil, just saw this, missed the time when it would be useful for your visit, but it may help later or if you want to call them for information.

I think you'd want to know your cup angle, the anteversion angle, what activities you can return to and when, any protocol for exercise and in general when you expect to be off any limitations.
