It's been a while since I've posted. I'm coming up on the second anniversary of my second BHR (Dec. 10th). For the last several years I've worked with the Arthritis Foundation for their biggest fundraiser The Jingle Bell Run and Walk. I'm including a link to an interview I did to promote the event, and to a lesser extent, hip resurfacing.
If you're in town, come on down. If not, consider helping out the cause.
Cheers to all the December hippies!

Wow, that was excellent! Great, great, work.
I have to say, the parallels between your experience and mine are borderline freaky. They just kept coming. Except for the football. Even the grocery cart thing, though mine was when I was with my brother the night before my surgery as I was stocking up on supplies for post-surgery (I travelled for surgery and my wife was home with our two [then] young kids). I had had a good run for a few weeks before surgery, but having to use the cart to help me get around...
I imagine you have FAI too? Hopefully someday soon they will do a better job of recognizing that and fixing it surgically (initially) before the joint gets wrecked. Even now with the web, finding info on surgery to fix FAI is much harder than getting info on hip resurfacing.
Good luck with the run!
Mike
Congrats Rob! Nice interview, and good to see you smoothly jog up that dais.
Happy (second hip ) second anniversary. I had my third ( second hip ) anniversary on Nov. 29th.
This is great, Rob, wonderful interview! And, Congrats on being selected Grand Marshal!
This is a great advertisement for successful and happy outcomes on hip resurfacing.
