Title: New Bi-Lateral Hippy
Post by: curtieman1 on July 28, 2014, 09:55:41 PM
On my fifth day after have my right hip resurfaced by Dr Scott Anseth at Abbot Northwestern. Hospital in Minneapolis MN, on July 24th. It was almost 2 years to the day that he resurfaced my left hip. Just letting the healing take place from surgery yet, just doing exercises that he prescribed for first few weeks & walking around house. The difference I have noticed in the hip is incredible, of course the surgical pain is still there & making great strides daily in that area. As I know from first time I can't/shouldn't push too hard yet. Getting grief from my nurse wife to stop trying to be a hero &  slow down & ask for help more . That's all for now feeling tired.

welcome to the bi-lateral club!! as you (and your nurse) stated, try not to rush the recovery!! i am 2 years post my bi-lateral operation and still find it amazing how good (i.e., great) my hips feel.
