Title: Question about vibration from resurfaced hip and calcium deficency
Post by: susannatuttapanna on December 15, 2014, 02:04:00 PM
I had my right hip resurfaced in 2006 by Dr. Robert Gilbert in SF. No major problems. Recovery fast.

Recently, I forgot to take calcium for a couple weeks (had been meaning to buy calcium when I ran out, but forgot). Within 2-3 weeks, I started have a vibration in my right hip that was curious, didn't hurt, but worrisome. I was about to contact my doctor when I remember that I hadn't taken calcium. I quickly went out and purchased calcium and -- from the moment I started taking it again -- the clicking vibration went immediately away.

Has anyone had a similar issue or concern?

Did taking or not taking calcium affect the clicking or vibration?

Any other ideas???

I took calcium supplements for a couple of months post-op. After I stopped I didn't notice any significant changes like you're describing.
