Title: Bi-Lateral Success - 5 years RBHR and 6 years LBHR!!
Post by: mtnhippy on December 19, 2014, 11:09:47 AM
I haven't posted in years because I'm playing so much with my fabulous hips!!

To everyone struggling, I say HANG IN THERE IT'S SOOOOO WORTH IT!

I had my LBHR six years ago and my RBHR five years ago and I can honestly say I usually forget I have metal hips.  I am very active.  I live for mountain sports.  During the work week I go to the gym and do cardio and strength training.  On the weekends I spend around 5 hours hiking or snowshoeing racking up hundreds of miles each year.

I do work to keep my hips happy by doing physical therapy exercises every morning and stretching a few minutes morning and night.  I'm a huge PT fan!

I rock climbed for years but recently backed off because my HANDS are injured but my HIPS love climbing.

Truly I can't believe how fortunate I am an feel blessed I had my hips resurfaced.

My best to everyone!

That's fantastic to hear as someone who's scheduled for bilateral BHR next month. I'm so looking forward to being able to be active again without pain.
