Dear Folks: I am 7 years out from having my right hip resurfaced: 19 months from having my left. This past weekend I successfully completed a Tough Mudder event (I'd say "ran" but my team kept things at a reasonable walk for most of the 10 miles). I was easily able to scale all the obstacles (10 ft high walls, steep slope inclines, muddy trenches, etc.) -- though most of them depended on upper body strength, my legs held out great -- they're no more sore than the rest of my body. I don't anticipate trying anything this crazy again, but it was a great way to celebrate my 50th birthday... especially considering 2 years ago I couldn't even walk up the 3 steps to get into my house.
That's awesome, congrats!
Great news! Thanks for the share, Clarkefan.
Fantastic News.
I am hopefully not too far behind. Started running a couple of months back for the first time in over 7 yrs.
Keep it up Clarkefan :-)
