Have you been waiting a long time for a Hip Replacement Operation on the NHS? Are you considering going private or abroad?
I am working for the BBC and we are making a new series examining various aspects of the the NHS and in particular, are looking at the issue of waiting times for operations. We are looking to talk to people who are waiting for hip replacement operations on the NHS about the waits they are experiencing and what this means for them.
If you know of anyone waiting for a hip replacement operation we would be keen to talk to them. At this stage any conversation would be in confidence, with no obligation to appear on camera.

Not sure if this helps...
I am in the media myself here in the Midwest USA. Because I can not find a local doctor who has enough experience at hip resurfacing, I will be traveling to Belgium to receive my operation. I am waiting to get in with Dr. De Smet and hope to go under the knife in Early December. My Insurance plan will only cover 60% of the procedure which is backwards since traveling out of the country this operation will cost only $20,000 instead of an average of $100,000 for a typical USA operation.
