Title: Hip resurfacing
Post by: Bill27 on December 23, 2016, 10:41:31 PM
Well i went 3 years and 5 months with my resurfacing and i was totally satisfied. I had no problems , did pretty much anything i wanted to do.
October 15th of this year i was in a bad car accident and of all places to break on a body , the bone behind my socket shattered and the resurfacing was dislocated. My surgeon that did resurfacing had to go in and rebuild the area behind the socket using 15 screws and 2 pieces of chain and now i have a full replacement which i didnt want but oh well my surgeon didnt have a choice.

I am sorry to hear about your accident.  It was good that your surgeon could repair the damage.  Hopefully, you will still be active when your surgery heals up. Most people with THRs are still very active.  I wish you a Merry Christmas and better New Year next year!

Good Luck.
