Hey Patty!!!
Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on here.
I was looking through my bookmarks and came across this one.
I am 8+ years out of having a right hip surfaced from Doctor Gross. I am still good, I almost never even think of the day I could not walk and still do not know I have had my hip done.
I believe now that I will take that hardware to the grave, hopefully in many years.
Chuck
Hey Chuck! Nice to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by and giving everyone an update. I hope to take my hip resurfacing to the grave with me too! I am coming up on my 11 year anniversary in March.
I hope all is going well for you and your family. Assume your boat is in the cave waiting for Spring to start.
Thanks Again. I miss your posts. Good Luck. Pat
8) Awesome Chuck and awesome attitude. Mine will be I am counting on it. Cheers K
It will be 8 incredible years for me in February! So glad I did it!
Well done Chuck. Thanks for the update.

Hey Oxypelican, great to see you back on the forum. We are from about the same "generation", since I am also about 8 ½ years out at this point. Glad to hear that you are doing so well. I also am very happy with my resurfaced hip from Dr Gross. At 65 I am still skiing hard 6 to 8 hours every day during the winters, and surfing, tennis, and windsurfing every day during the summers. Unfortunately my other hip is in trouble, so I am scheduled to get it resurfaced in April after the ski season. Then I will have two to take to the grave with me, which is exactly what Dr Gross told my wife I would do after the first surgery.

Congratulations on your 8 year anniversary, too. It is so nice for you to keep in touch so others can learn about hip resurfacing and how great people are doing.
I wish you many, many more anniversaries.
Pat
Congrats Chuck and Mari...
Nice to hear from the old guys that gave so much good advice and reassurance during my first year dealing with my new hip. I am also on 8 years and will have my 9 year anniversary in late July. My second was done 4 years later.
John C. The second is easier than the first and I seemed to recover much quicker than the first. Good luck.
Everything is working well and thanks again to Pat and her site.

It's great seeing you folks from years past checking in, doing great. It sure gives the rest of us something to look forward to. Keep it up! 8)
Well, OK then. I celebrated my 14 year anniversary of my right hip resurfacing earlier this week. It was done by Dr. Gross as part of the original Corin clinical trial. All is well with that one, as well as the left hip done in 2015 by Dr. Marwin.
Awesum to see you "older" Hippies checking in and giving all of us the top news and updates. Gives us "youngies" lots of confidence to keep going and pushing those boundries. :D
Thanks for everything.
Kiwi Boy from Down Under.
Yes! Hope to be posting that someday, too.
Fantastic! Your posts were such a motivator for me to get mine done (Dr. Gross as well) just over 5 years ago. Glad to hear you're killing it on the slopes!
