Title: Shelton's Bilateral at 10 weeks
Post by: sheltons on February 27, 2017, 05:41:57 PM
Most days are around a 6 on a scale of 1-10.

I think that my recovery really slowed down after 6 weeks. 5 am relieved that i can sleep with no issues at this point.

I guess it is just a waiting game at this point and patience is key.

Wife thinks i need to go to PT but sticking with Dr Gross and just doing my excercises and walking.

Worst is when i have been sitting for a while and stand up. Takes a while to get stretched out and loosened up.

Thanks for listening to me vent!

Hey Shelton,

Yeah, I think we were both spoiled in that the first couple of weeks were pretty easy for us. So we then thought things would simply improve even faster, and by the end of the first month we'd both be competing in the ironman triathlons! So our recoveries have both slowed down, which I guess was what we should have been expecting all along.

Wish I could offer more guidance, but since I had bilateral surgeries both within hours of yours, I can't be of much help. I  My recovery has picked up in the last week or two though, and I don't experience too much soreness after sitting for a while (which used to happen every single time since post-op week 4).

I have this gut feeling that in another month, things are going to really start improving for both of us. I hope I'm right. Hang in there.
