Title: Five Years & Seven Years!
Post by: GBLarry on April 29, 2017, 12:01:54 AM
Hello All,

This thread is to update my progress after five years on my second hip.  I am now going on 71 years and will be taking the National Ski Patrol classes this summer and plan to be an active Patroller this winter at the ski areas in the Midwest that are near me.  I have enjoyed cross country ski races of 25K, biking of over 100K in a day and also downhill skiing through the trees.  I must say that one major help to me has been my participation in weekly YOGA classes.  I started shortly after my first hip was done and am continuing with my 2 - 4 times a week.  I also do strength work at the gym and a lot of biking.  My golf game has improved and I now walk the course and carry my clubs.  All in all, I am feeling better than I did years before I finally had my hips fixed.  I keep improving, even as I luckily keep getting older!  If you are wondering about doing it, stop wondering and do it!
