Title: Still achy after 21 months....
Post by: chrisvolk on December 28, 2017, 12:56:12 PM
I'm a pretty active 60-year-old guy in Boise, Idaho.  My Birmingham was installed April 1, 2015.  The joint is functioning well for mountain biking, skiing, and hockey twice a week.  However, I still have quite a bit of aching, especially in the mornings.  Note that the joint does squeak a bit under certain conditions, perhaps when I'm dehydrated a bit.

I did a couple months of dedicated PT early on.  More recently, however, I've been relying on general activity to continue the healing process.  And I take an Ibuprophen to take the edge off the ache.  Anybody have any advice on how to relieve the aching?  Also wondering whether I'll get to the point when I can forget about the new hip altogether....
