Went in to check my left knee with the surgeon (turned out to be a deep contusion of the tibia head, just a couple of months of downshifting activity).
But I figured I'd check the hips as well, for my (almost) nine year anniversary.
The hips looked great, had blood work done for Cobalt (I guess they just track that now in that office), it came back at 1.0 with both hips.
So the progression has gone : First test - Chromium 3.4, Cobalt 3.1, After four years - Chromium 1.7, Cobalt 1.1 and now after nine years - Cobalt 1.0
Having both hips done and the bar being to stay under 7, it is very good news.
I understand that some of us have challenges after the surgery, all the way up to revisions, but my hopes are that all of you have happy and successful outcomes.
Thanks again to Pat for her tireless work for us and my best wishes for all hippies, new and well seasoned.
Sounds great results.....

Thanks Karlos, it was good to see.
Congratulations hernanu.
Pleased to hear the hips are good.
You're 2 years ahead of me and my THR and you, Dannywayoflife and i think John C, gave me some very good advice at the time.
It's great to get experienced advice when a looming hip operation seems such a daunting thing.
Cheers Mike

Looks like I missed your great post and update. Thanks for stopping by and letting us know how well you are doing. I wish you the best and another 9 great years!
That's good news with your hips.
Hope your knee repairs ok.
All the best.
Mike
Thanks for giving us an update. I am glad you are doing well. It is always nice to know that people are active and out of pain with THRs. Especially when a great surgeon places them.
I wish you the very best and many more years of activity.
Hope you stop by again in the future.

Knee is fine, was just an extremely deep contusion of the tibia at the head. Hope everything is good with you.
