Title: 10 years, 2 hips, 26,000 miles.
Post by: moe on July 15, 2019, 10:16:08 AM
Well 10 years went by fast. I am now 66 years old. Bilateral BHR's have been a complete success. I am primarily a cyclist, road and off road. 26,000 miles, some rough math works out to be about 9,500,000 cycles on the hips. Many different intensities, easy, moderate, extremely hard. A couple of 100 mile gravel rides included. I had a very bad crash but the BHR's came through OK. I also weight train, hike, kayak, and a bit of trail running in the colder weather. Never any pain or issues. Thanks to Pat for this great resource. Dr Marchand in Rhode Island is the surgeon.

Congrats! Very inspiring. At 36 with recent bilateral BHRs this is encouraging. Thank you for the update!
