Title: Ran the Portland Marathon
Post by: runner on October 10, 2019, 02:05:57 AM
I ran the Portland Marathon Sunday, it was the 4th marathon for my new hip and the 29th for my other original hip.
I ran this one,  to celebrate my 2 year BHR anniversary and to celebrate my return to distance running. I am a different person after the surgery.... as every run I now do,  I am thankful I can run.
Sunday was also very special as I qualified for the 2021 Boston Marathon, I wasn't trying and didn't know I had,  till a friend told me after the race that my time had qualified it turns out that my next birthday moved me into an older age bracket, where the times are easier... I'll take it! , what a way to be happy about growing old!

PS. yes I'm the Guy that also qualified for Boston 2020 as well ...I'm headed there in April to run. oh what a celebration that will be
