Mr McMinn replaced my right hip with a BHR twenty years ago (followed by another on the left over six years ago).
It has felt exactly like a natural, healthy hip throughout all that time and I am still as active as I want to be, including tennis a couple of times a week, cycling, motorcycling etc.
I regard myself as very fortunate that this surgery came along just when I needed it.
Best wishes to all,
David

Congratulations on your 20th anniversary. Thank You for being active on Hip Talk and sharing your story. It is inspirational and wonderful for new people to read. It gives them and us the hope that we will take our hip resurfacings to the grave with us!
So good to hear your update. Look forward to more in the future.
I wish you the very best.
Pat
Great news and congratulations...
Thanks Granton. You're one of the true pioneers who took on sizeable risks, with a relatively unknown procedure that had almost no historical result data. You're a true OG, and we all thank you for your courage.
Thanks for sharing and continuing to update.
The post title had me singing it to a the Beatles...
It was twenty years ago today, McMinn got your hip to play!
20 years, you are the man. At 8 years I'm just getting started compared to you!
