Title: 5 years of BHR...
Post by: petemeads on November 18, 2019, 11:30:57 AM
5 years today with my L BHR, and 30 months with my R THR.
Both are doing well, although my R leg had a problem with thigh pain over Xmas last year. Still managed to keep climbing and cycling but had to stop running for a couple of months. Since then have gone from strength to strength - long days in the hills, long bike rides, longish runs including a 10 mile race (for the first time in 9 years, and 10 minutes slower than those heady days) and gradually getting decent fitness back. Still got all the other problems you are supposed to get at my age but the hips are fine!
Thanks to Pat for this site, and the rest of you for your contributions - keep them coming!

Pete
Congratulations on your 5th anniversary of your hip resurfacing and 30 months with THR.
Great you are doing so well even with a BHR and THR. It is nice that you continue to give us updates. I know many people enjoy reading them.
I wish you the very best and many, many more anniversaries.
