First post!! I've found this site in my own research as well as doctors suggestions because I am due to have hip Resurfacing done by Dr. Peter Brooks in June. I will share my story and the 3 hip arthroscopy's that I've had in last 16 months at a later date. Worst part is I'm only 33 years old!
Just want everyone to check out the Andy Murray documentary on amazon Prime titled "resurfacing." Something I can truly relate to as I was a previous athlete. Details the procedures, his recovery, his emotions he experienced (as I can familiar with thus the most), etc. Don't worry, its free if you are a prime member!

I'm a tennis player who had hip resurfacing with Dr. Gross about 1.5 years ago and doing great, back on the courts again. And so - Yes, I've been following Andy Murray like a hawk! I loved the show and saw it when it came out on Prime a few months ago. My only problem with it is that I think the story ended a bit prematurely. They did not show his rise back after he recovered, etc. And now, unfortunately, it looks like he's having issues with it still. Knock on wood, I've had more luck than him, but then again - I don't play at his level and my hip does not have to do what his does on the court.
Best of luck with everything - I'm a big fan of hip resurfacing. Took me 4 years to pull the trigger and wish I had done it sooner. It has restored my active lifestyle!
