Title: Ten-Year Anniversary
Post by: bluedevilsadvocate on November 01, 2020, 12:41:29 PM
Ten years post-surgery, and all is well! I had my left hip BHR by Dr. Brooks at the Cleveland Clinic in October, 2010, and I had my ten-year followup appointment with Phil Golnick (Dr. Brooks' PA) ten years to the day after the surgery. Because I live a four-hour drive from Cleveland and because of the COVID-19 situation, the appointment was via "telehealth". Prior to the call, an order for x-rays was sent to me; the x-rays were taken locally and then uploaded to the Clinic. Phil said everything looked good on the x-rays, and I told him that everything is good on my end. In fact, as I told him, I sometimes tell people that my BHR is the best joint in my body!

I'm supposed to follow up in five years (15 years post-surgery), and I hope/anticipate that all will be well with my BHR then!

Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary. Glad everything is going well, as it normally does.  Thank You for stopping by and giving us an update. Nice you could do a "telehealth" appointment.

I look forward to reading about more anniversaries. I wish you the very best.

Congrats!  That's great news.  I'm at 8.5 years on my right hip, and 4 days on my left!  I feel like I'll have a similar 10-year checkup.
