Title: 2 year update Long Distance Runner
Post by: autoazure on October 10, 2021, 02:04:49 PM
It's exactly 2 years ago since my metal on metal (as Andy Murray) resurfacing. It remains to be amazing and life changing! I am training up to 60 miles per week (albeit slowly) and have started racing again at 10 K distance. I ran a 47 minute 10 K today and I am improving monthly. I have completed a 1/2 marathon in 1.52 in training. No effects whatsoever from my new hip, it's the rest of the body that is holding me back at the age of 65. What an amazing procedure if performed correctly by expert surgeons! Thank you Prof Meek at Glasgow and the good old NHS!
