Title: Checking in on the (almost) 12th anniversary of resurfacing both hips.
Post by: hernanu on May 16, 2022, 06:41:45 PM
Now I wasn't courageous enough to do both at once, but with three months apart.

In August of 2010 and November of 2010, I had my left then right done. Best thing I've ever done. After seven years of putting it off, with increasing pain, hip dislocations and decreasing activity and sleep, I had the procedures and have not looked back.

You'll know when it's right for you if you haven't done it yet, no one can tell you. Afterwards, though, I found great relief in that the arthritic pain was gone. Gone.  Such a relief.

Then I (eventually, took 11 months) returned to some very strong activities (martial arts, weight lifting, etc.). Since then no problems with the hips, the metal tests all came back in good shape. Very pleased with the results and looking forward to carrying these with me until the end.

Pat, you were a bright warm light in a very dark place and I'll always be a fan. Thank you for your advocacy and carrying through. Not many people do.

To all past, current and future hippies, trust yourself, but most of all, listen to the stories here and that will help you.

You are welcome. Thank You for your kind words.  I don't always read every post now, but try to see most of them.  I have been doing this since 2005 and sometimes like to take a bit of time away.

If anyone needs help or wants my advice, if I can give any, just email me.

I wish you the best and Thank You for helping so many others. Happy 12 Surface Hippy Years!

By the way, hernanu has actually made more posts on this forum than I have.  He gives a great deal to respond to folks and their problems.  Thank You for your support of the Forum and the many members. I appreciate your input.

Pat

Hey, Hernan!  Nice to see you post again.

I had my first done in 2012, and you were super active, answering every single question.  You were a huge support for me when I really needed reassurance.  I'm glad you're enjoying life.

You think 3 months wasn't courageous?  I took 9 years!

Here's to another worry-free 12 years!
