I'm just beyond one week from the surgery date on my right hip. I had the left side done in 2014, so not my first rodeo. So many great improvements in the surgical process since 2014 (no blood loss due to recirculation, outpatient rather than hospital stay) have made recovery much speedier. I'm walking, slowly, and can do so without crutches early in the day before I tire. Still not sleeping well, that might be the worst part. Looking forward to PT and getting back on the trainer, rower and getting stronger. I know the low point is behind me. I could barely walk pre-surgery, as it was bone on bone.
