Title: How long did you feel movement post-op?
Post by: MattFL on October 07, 2024, 04:48:41 PM
I'm now about 19 days post-op, things are feeling better every day so far.  When I walk with crutches (dr. mandated for 6 weeks) everything is tight and smooth.  When I'm sitting and I bend down or left and right, or if I'm standing and doing something where I might turn left and right to reach for things, etc.. I sometimes feel a slight movement in my hip.  As if the ball was ever so slightly not seated completely in the cup, then slips back into place.  There is zero pain and zero noise.  Has anyone else had this immediately after surgery, and how long did it last (or did it never go away)?

This will be the ‘clunking’ people describe. Seems like some get it and some don’t.

Mine seems a lot just when moving around in small spaces, shifting around, hinging etc.

It will be interesting to see how yours either develops or disappears.

I must admit it rather annoys me as I can’t help but think it’s not aligned correctly.

It’s been doing it everyday loads - I’m 5 and a half months out now.
