Title: 6 wks after surgery update
Post by: JimBob on September 17, 2008, 09:16:09 PM
After having problems in the 4th & 5th wk with pulled groin muscle, I am happy to report that in this 6th wk everything has greatly improved. It seemed to have happened over a 2-3 day period last wk.  Pulled groin healed up, I am able to lift my own leg into bed at night, and am walking without hardly any pain.  I will keep my fingers crossed that it will only continue to get better. I am able to function without any support of a walker or crutch. My main area that needs improvement is the bending over flexibility(or lack of it). I still need the grabber to reach things at floor level. Drying off after shower is not as good as it should be.
Biggest shock was getting the hospital bill!!! $55,000!!! I should have been in the hospital penthouse for that kind of money.

Hi Jim Bob

Glad to hear you are feeling better.  It seems our recoveries have plateaus - we go along, then all of a sudden we are at a different level.

It will take time to become flexible and bend over. Just give yourself some time.

I hope your recovery continues to improve for you.

I hope you had insurance coverage!
