Title: Newbie here
Post by: soccernutmom on December 05, 2008, 10:13:14 AM
Hello all,

I am a newbie and I am looking for information on hip resurfacing.  I do not know where to start from.  I live in Norfolk Virginia and I would like to find a surgeon locally if possible, but I am willing to travel a few hours to have the surgery done.

Ok, my first question, how did you find your surgeon?  I guess can be my first question.

It also explains how to choose a surgeon and what questions to ask.  You can see my list of experineced surgeons here

If you want to learn more about the surgeons, you can read in depth interviews here

I think the above is a great start.  Like anything, it takes a little investment of time to begin learning.  If you want to learn more, there are over a 1000 pages of information on my website to help guide you besides the 900 folks here on this group.

Good Luck.

Hello Terry,

Without hesitation, go to Dr Michael Mont at Sinai hospital in Baltimore. Experienced and outstanding service. I went to him from Boston for resurfacing , and it was easy. You are much closer!
