Title: skiing and snowboarding
Post by: ted on December 18, 2008, 09:32:10 AM
I had a LH resurfacing with Dr. Schmalzried 9-29-08.  It went extremely well, with a rapid recovery. He cleared me for skiing last week and I have done 2 days in Vail on groomed runs - no problem.  I am nervous about progressing to deep powder and variable terrain, which is the type of terrain I usually ski.  Any thoughts ?  Ted

Hi Ted,

Did you read John C's post about "Back on Skis?"  He waited 6 mos according to Dr. Gross's instructions.  I also need to wait 6 months according to Dr. Su's instructions.  Afterwards, skiing will be unrestricted.  Even then, I don't plan on skiing moguls or steep chutes.
