Dose anyone know if there is much research going on into the use of new materials in hip resurfacing? As looking at the sister site total hippy there appears to be some interesting new materials such as oxinium being used. I also a few months ago saw an article about the university of Alabama and there research into a diamond coating on standard colbolt chrome implants reducing wear. I was just wondering as there seems to be much less advancement in resurfacing than thr.
