sciatic nerve "irritation"?
« on: March 24, 2011, 11:54:17 AM »
Hi, I had my BHR on 2/24/11 with my left hip. I have a couple of questions. I have the feeling of sandpaper on the top of my left foot. I also have the feeling like I have extended the tendon behind my left knee. it aches. I can barely lift my left foot back. Meaning when I am standing my right foot comes off the floor to about a 45 degree angle and my left barely. And can anyone tell me if the clunking in my hip is normal and will go away in time. It isn't serious but when I move my hip around like "hula" or bending...
Thank you in advance for anyone that can help me with my numerous questions.

How are you progressing? The clunking is normal. As time passes ans the muscles surrounding your hip strengthen, the clunking will fade. As to the other issues, at the time of your post you were 1 month removed from your surgery. I was convinced for several months that my surgical leg was now much shorter than my other leg. It wasn't, and still isn't :) You have ans major, major surgery. Your body is going to take a long time to recover. Keep doing all of your PT exercises and you should be just fine :)
