Lower back pain
« on: December 27, 2011, 08:59:32 PM »
Had surgery Dec 8th.Had a bruise in my pant line area of my back.My back pain was much worse than my hip pain. I spoke with the nurse and she said they put a turnacate there during the surgery and that may be what caused it. Anyone else had this problem?

Didn't have that, but the first operation, I had a bandage around my waist for the first few days. I never thought to ask (everything was new and it wasn't very tight).

How's the back pain now? If it's still an issue, I'd ask to talk to the doctor and talk it over with him. At least it gets your questions answered, and cleans up your mind on when it would be gone.

Hi Bri,
Not sure why they would put a turnicate in that location? I had major shoulder pain - shoulder on good side - for about 3 weeks after surgery. It had something to do with them dislocating my hip. I think someone held me at that shoulder while the others did the dislocation procedure. It cleared up but took quite a while. It was very intense.

Hope your pain has gone away or is getting better?
