4 Yrs and 2 weeks
« on: August 30, 2012, 04:14:37 PM »
I am 2 weeks late from posting my 4 year update.  I am pain free (in that hip) and going strong.  Slalom water skied this summer and remain very active.  Looking forward to snow skiing this winter.  I still get clicking (not the louder clunking) in that hip with certain situations and movements but have gotten use to it.   I would recommend this surgery if your hip is going bad and you want to remain active.

My non-opp hip is going to have to be done at sometime.  With moderate activity it is tolerable, but after a lot of activity I am limping for a couple of days.  When I favor that leg then the other parts begin to hurt like my back and my knee.  My Dr. said I will know when it is time.   I will not wait as long as I did for the other leg.

Thanks Pat for creating this site.

Nice job, as Hern points out, its nice to see how folks have gotten along several years out.  Thanks for posting.  I think everyone likes to hear these stories.  A testament to the value of HR.

Sorry to hear about no. 2 hip.  The Bilat club always has openings  ;)

Fence,

The second one was a breeze, compared to #1, you're and old pro now.
