Some good news that we've found since Kristin began chemo, I checked her blood test results and one test they use to measure results is LDH. Lactate dehydrogenase is an enzyme that is elevated sometimes when you have cancer, the test does not diagnose the type of cancer but rather it's a good test for monitoring cancer. The test checks for tissue destruction, Kristin began her 1st treatment at 206 (range 0-171 range) before her 2nd treatment she was 182. Hopefully this trend will continue.
The other good news is one of the lumps that you could still see before her first treatment you cannot see and it's not hard anymore, it's more soft which means that lymph nodes is "dissolving" as her doctor would put it.
The real test will be after her 2nd cycle (a cycle is 2 treatments) when they give her another PET scan, hopefully by then the tests show little or no cancer.
