1 year post op
« on: January 06, 2013, 06:01:01 PM »
Hi everyone!! This isn't really a new topic but I didn't know where to put it. Today is officially 1 yr. post-op and I'm happy dancing. I have my x-ray and surgeon visit on the 8th.

What a long journey and I would have gone bonkers if I never found this site. Thank you all for the support. I can say this was the best thing ever. Pain free riding my horse 2-3 x a week. I realized this summer how much I missed by being on pain meds. Scared me a few times.

I have full range of motion and then sum.I even slipped in the manure pile twice legs going in the wrong direction no problems. I was so scared last year at this time.I thought everything I enjoyed would be gone. The Dr.'s and hospital really don't tell you all the hard work to get better but I am. Would I do it again? Yes but that's not going to happen. :D

However it sorta ironic last sat I slipped and fell hard on the ice. Saved my hip but my shoulder took a beating.Still have issues. But I'm glad that I wasn't going to my 1 yr appointment with a cast on my arm.  Thanks Again and thanks for such a great website.
