Painting therapy.
« on: March 02, 2013, 11:01:21 AM »
Hi,

One of the things that suffered from my crabbiness and general depression before getting my HR's was my hobby of painting. I didn't paint for five years. Now while some would take that as a good thing   :o  I drew real joy from doing it.

One of the things that I was able to do afterwards (with liberal standing up to avoid discomfort while sitting) was to get back to it.

Along with dancing, going to live music, it was something creative that was impacted by the OA and returned to me after the HRs.

So I thought I'd post a couple of my post hippy paintings (have been painting up a storm since)..

Hern: The paintings look great! It's great to see being free from arthritis pain has allowed you to pursue both your physical and creative interests.

I also wanted to pass along my personal thanks for your thoughtful posts on this Board. Your contribution is much appreciated.

Thanks guys, I just wanted to show that for me, the impact of the arthritis is not just on physical endeavors, but the creative things that drive from our being happy and contented.

We can get that back too, once our mind is freed from the pain.

Hernan

Your artwork is quite special.

And, for me, your art does depict a man with a healthy, free flowing mind that has been released from fighting physical pain.
