Welcome Back

The Hip Talk Discussion Forum was hacked a few weeks back. It has taken me a long time to fix it. The only backup I could use was way back to April 2020. All members and posts up to that date are available. Anything newer has been lost. I am sorry, but that has been the only way to get things up and running again.

That is a very positive article for resurfacing for men.

Unfortunately, the end of the article is really a downer for women. The Dr. is quoted telling untruths? That resurfacing is bad for women? That their femoral necks aren't large enough to support resurfacing? Of course he could be referring to his own statistics and therefore is telling the truth.

:) Not true for women. Can be done even small sizes. But maybe not so much in the USA. Plenty done in Europe. That is positive.
The article should represent this or say nothing about it. Shame. Bad press for small  women or even small boned men. Example I am just border line for Birmingham hips. I don't believe everything I read by doctors - press other wise I would have never got my hips resurfaced. It should represent this is a very technical operation performed by trained or very technical specialists and should only be attempted by very experienced specialists. Not just any orthopedic surgeon. Cheers K
