Just diagnosed with AVN

I have recently been diagnosed with AVN on 06/14/07 for an MRI and various Xrays.  I live in San Francisco, CA and looking for options in the area for BHR.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you have AVN you want to make sure to use an experienced doctor. Many people with AVN have hip resurfacing. Did you get to read Dr. Bose's article about AVN

Connie - I am in the SF area and am presently scheduled for a hip resurfacing in
mid-October with a Dr. Robert Gilbert with Cal Pacific.  He was favorably referred to
me by a business colleague who had Dr. Gilbert perform both a hip replacement on one of
his hips some 7 years ago and more recently a hip resurfacing on his other hip.  My colleague
believes Dr. Gilbert has done the most hip resurfacings in the bay area so you may want to
check him out.  Through another post on this web site, I am asking for further feedback from
others that have used him - I noticed he was listed in the list ofCalifornia doctors that Pat provided to you.
