Excellent choice.  Dr. Clarke has done over 500 resurfacings and has excellent credentials.  Your timing for surgery is good since pain and lack of function is dominating your lifestyle.

I was 52 when I did my resurfacing. I don't know Dr Clarke, but you will not regret getting the resurfacing done now. In just a few weeks you will be off the crutches and running around! Best decision.

Hi

Dr. Clarke is a very experienced resurfacing surgeon.  You have made a good choice.

I have a handful of Dr. Clarke personal stories here

http://www.surfacehippy.info/hipstories.php#Dr.%20Clarke

I hope you might consider adding a story after your surgery too.

Some people return to work a few weeks after surgery, depending on  their jobs and their energy levels.  Being tired is one of the biggest problems along with not being able to sit long periods of time after surgery.  You will have to see how you feel to determine when you want to go back to work. Our bodies heal at their own rate and sometimes some people have to be more patient than others.  There is no way to tell ahead of time.

A good positive attitude always helps too.

Best of luck.

Isn't it nice to have that pain gone, now it's all about the recovery/rehab process.  Good luck.
