Surfing ?
« on: November 28, 2008, 02:14:19 PM »

Just wanted to see if there is anybody out there that surfs that has had a resurfacing done ? If so how long were you out of the water for ? How long until you felt you were back 100% ?

I just had bi-lateral resurfacing on nov 7th and can't wait to get back in the water.Because my legs were so contracted it likely will take me a few months to get back in the water. As soon as my aductors are loosened up I will be back in the water.By the way I couldn't stand up on my board for the last three years because of my osteoartritis.Where do you surf? Salt creek and trestles are my surf breaks.

Hey George,
Dr. Ball did my surgery down at UCSD Thornton Hospital in La Jolla. Dr. Schmalzreid and Dr. Amstud trained Dr. Ball . I will keep you posted about my progress and believe me you will be so stoked to have this surgery done because every bit of that pain you have right now is completley gone when you wake up from surgery.Good luck on the 8th.
